Bio

Carol Supreme is a curious trio where playfulness, depth, and musicality go hand in hand. The band was formed during a midnight jam session at a folk music festival – a moment that can still be heard in the music's spontaneous energy and open forms. Since then, the trio has made a name for themselves as one of the most exciting new acts on the Nordic Music scene and has been met with great acclaim both in Denmark and abroad.

The artistic driving force is musical freedom of discovery. The music arises at the intersection between folk tradition and creative play, where ideas are given free rein. This gives rise to 12-tone melodies, pi-polskas and pieces of music that glide smoothly between dance types and moods. The result is music that is both immediately accessible and full of detail: the audience encounters melodies that may feel like old acquaintances, but which suddenly take on new depths in a synthesis of tradition, authenticity and innovation. Music you can dance to, disappear into and be surprised by.

Live, Carol Supreme is known for their distinctive and compelling performances. In 2023, they received the Folk & Festival talent award KATAPULT. Since then, they’ve participated in a mentorship-session with Dreamer's Circus, played at a number of Danish and international festivals and most recently played alongside artists such as Floating Sofa Quartet, Teitur and many more at Folkets Festival, VEGA. In 2025 they released their self-titled debut album Carol Supreme.
